Data collection
Glide does not collect personal data, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, diagnostics, contacts, location, microphone audio, photos or automation data. It does not track you.
Camera
Camera access is optional. When you choose Scan Companion QR on iPhone/iPad or Scan Desktop QR on Android, frames are processed on the mobile device only to read the private pairing link shown by your computer. Glide does not save or upload those frames.
Local network
Glide sends MIDI control values directly to the Glide companion running on your paired Mac or Windows PC over local Wi-Fi. The developer cannot access this traffic. Use Glide only on a trusted home or studio network.
Information stored on your devices
- The private companion pairing key is stored in the iOS Keychain or encrypted with Android Keystore.
- The selected page and mode, Fader and X · Y positions, per-page direction preferences and supported page names are stored in Glide's private app storage.
- Your DAW stores your MIDI mappings and recorded automation.
- The Mac or Windows companion stores pairing credentials and minimal local diagnostics on that computer. Glide does not upload them.
Sharing and third parties
Glide contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Glide does not sell or share data.
Delete local information
Use the pairing controls in Glide to forget or replace the paired computer. Deleting Glide removes its remaining local preferences. Reset the companion-side pairing key from the Mac menu or Windows Glide Setup. Because Glide has no account or developer database, there is no remote profile to delete.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated before the corresponding app release.
